Industrial Training

PETRONAS offers limited places for industrial training 
to students from various desciplines. Placements for 
industrial training are very competitive and vary from 
year to year depending on availability and request by 
respective departments and subsidiaries within PETRONAS.

Entry Requirements/Qualifications for Industrial 
Training

1. Applicant must be Malaysian or PETRONAS sponsored 
   students, undertaking a Degree in higher learning 
   institutions.

2. Priority will be given to PETRONAS-sponsored Final 
   Year students in universities where industiral training 
   is MANDATORY.

3. Duration of industrial training shall be for a 
   minimum of ten weeks and maximum of 52 weeks.

4. Offer of a place for industrial training is under 
   the discretion of PETRONAS.

Application Procedures

     Industrial Training > application form and resume template.

iii. Attach and send the completed Application Form together
     with a scanned copy of students’ latest result transcript & 
     Letter of Indemnity / Undertaking from the University via 
     e-mail to the Industrial Training Coordinator at 
     i_training@petronas.com.my

(Note for US/Canada applicants: Since your training is non mandatory
 your university will refuse to sign your Letter of Imdemnity.
 You may get your parents signature instead)

iv.  Application should also state the following information:
     a.	Name of Institution / University
     b.	Discipline
     c.	Level/year of study
     d.	Period of Attachment you are seeking
     e.	Scope of Industrial Training Required
     f.	Country of origin
     g.	Status of Accommodation during training

     
5. Upon confiramtion/approval of a placement for 
     Industrial Training, students are then required to provide 
     the following items:
     a.	Authority Document
     b.	Pcrsonal/Certified Group insurance
     c.	One passport-sized photo


6. Selection of Students

   There will be no preselection interview for the students.
   Shortlisting and placement of students will be undertaken 
   by Education Sponsorship Unit subject to students 
   fulfilling the necessary requirements, availability of 
   vacancies and budget allocation.
